Kung Fu Panda on-ground activities






BIG Home Video, in association with Paramount Home Entertainment Global and DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. released Kung Fu Panda, arguably the funniest movie of 2008, on home video. Kung Fu Panda comes from the makers of animation blockbusters Shrek and Madagascar. It is not only a state of the art CG animation movie full of high-octane kung fu action, comedy and engaging characters, but also a heart-warming story of an unlikely hero's journey of self-discovery and enlightenment.

BIG Home Video has crafted the marketing of Kung Fu Panda home video release keeping in mind the genre and the uniqueness of the movie. A very special activity - Costume Visit for Po, the central character in the film, have been organized across various cities in India, including Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Chennai and Bangalore.

This interactive marketing program engaged consumers through Meet and Greet Po and Photo-opportunity with Po sessions for kids and families. BIG Home Video tied up with leading large format retail chains, including Lifestyle, Landmark, Planet M, Music World, Reliance Timeout and Odyssey for this campaign. Along with meeting and greeting Po, the consumers also took part in contests and won exciting Kung Fu Panda premiums at these outlets.





Po also brought a smile on the face of some under privileged children this festive season by visiting them at three NGOs in Mumbai Akanksha, Save The Children India and Indian Association for Promotion of Adoption and Child Welfare (Khetwadi Municipal School) Kids at these NGOs were delighted with activities that included Quiz, Coloring Contest and photo-session with Po.
